Minecraft RPGs often push the limits of what is possible within Minecraft. The extensive mods and features give you a sense that you are learning a whole new game with numerous new items, game mechanics, weapons, and mobs. MCMMORPGs aren’t for every Minecraft player, but for some, it’s a new and exiting way to play the versatile game of Minecraft.

VentureLand RPG is a pretty successful MC RPG averaging around 100 players on the weekends. The server is mainly based around PVE and PVP, and does not include many opportunities to build. The server is mainly built around a fully customized world map that has treasure, mobs, villages, and many other builds dotted around. You cannot break blocks and place blocks in the world which practically makes it an adventure server. The only other areas of the server are dungeon fights which teleport you into dungeons to fight mobs and get loot. Below is a picture of the world map.

I cannot begin to describe the amount of features in this server so I will just explain my experience playing. It’s up to you to figure out the server’s mechanics. You begin by walking down a path with a couple mobs to fight. You then come to an area where you are prompted to pick a weapon. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, the server includes many new weapons such as whips and wands. Then you get teleported to spawn where you begin your journey. The main world was cool, and it became clear to me that the builders were very skilled. while exploring I found a dungeon key and opened a dungeon portal. The dungeon had some pretty tough mobs for a low level player like me, and I wasn’t able to get past the final boss. This server is a great challenge for people who enjoy PVE.

This RPG is a good, and well made server. If I had to suggest an RPG I would probably suggest the more popular Wynncraft server. It has even more game mechanics, classes, abilities, quests, and custom items and mobs which is kind of what these MCMMORPGs are all about. However, if you enjoy a more open world aspect of RPGs then VentureLand is probably a good server to try out. You can visit VentureLand’s website at ventureland.net.
