About a month ago, the long an awaited server, MCC Island released to the public. During its beta stages, the server got a lot of YouTuber attention which helped greatly popularize the server. Now the the server has gone public, and everyone who has the Java version of Minecraft can enjoy the fun.

When I first logged on, I was prompted to pick a faction, and of course I picked the pink parrots. I was very impressed by the scale and detail of the lobby. The server does require you to download a resource pack, which modifies Minecraft’s textures to add new features. These textures are similar to those of Tubnet, which I might review in the future. This makes the server look really cool, and I didn’t see any texture bugs while playing. The main island is very extensive, with shops, parks, and secret areas. It is also clear that they will add many new features in the future as well. However, after playing for a while, I noticed the the server could be a bit laggy at times, and the chat clearly agreed with me. Hopefully, the server can upgrade its hardware in the future. I wouldn’t suggest playing on a low end computer if you don’t have performance enhancing mods.

The mini games themselves include sky battle, hole in the wall, to get to the other side, battle box, parkour warrior survivor, and parkour warrior dojo. My personal favorite is parkour warrior dojo because it really helps me touch up on my parkour skills. if you enjoy pvp, then try sky battle, or battle box. If you are good block clutching, parkour, or if you are just a casual player, then try the other mini games. However, I would suggest trying all of them al first because they are all fun.

This server also has a vey extensive cosmetic game mechanic. you can pick from hundreds of hats accessories and trails. My personal favorite are the lightsabers which look really cool. It was clear to me that the server was really trying to elevate Minecraft to it’s limits.
